Wow, where to start? There have been several things I have been thinking to blog about over the past few days...

 

Well, I guess I can start with today’s fundraiser. As I mentioned in an earlier post, our small church felt led to put together a bake sale / auction (auctioning off fully cooked, homemade meals). With our church being so very small, I had figured we might pull in $200-$300. I have never been a part of or even been to a bake sale before. Well, God had bigger plans (funny how He usually does, right? lol) Today’s fundraiser to host “Flower” over the holidays brought in $966!  Pretty cool, huh?

 

Also, Mom’s Avon fundraiser initially brought in just over $300 (I think I mentioned that in an earlier post as well). Well, Mom has continued to take orders to contribute to “Flower’s” hosting/adoption fund. I found out yesterday that Mom has calculated $400 MORE to give to us!

 

As if this all wasn’t cool enough, we are receiving $5,000 more from our family. This was money that was set aside to be given to us at a later date, but things have worked out that we can be blessed with this money now for the adoption.

 

On Friday we spoke with “Flower” again. She was SO excited. The first thing she started talking about was coming to visit for Christmas. Of course I knew we were working to make this happen but I hadn’t realized yet that the foster family had already been contacted and paperwork/approvals are already in the works!! Praise God! We will get to hug our sweet girl in just a few more weeks.

 

 

Well, I’m sick today and it isn’t any fun. All the thoughts and things I was going to blog about just isn’t coming to me like it was when I had previously thought about it, so I think I have to leave that stuff for another time.

 

Our God is an amazing God! He has been all over this for your family and I am so excited for all of you! How awesome that people have been helping you raise the money. Thank you, Jesus, for your love for this family and helping them bring "Flower" home. Continue to hold them and comfort them during this time. Be with "Flower" and give her peace as well through this. Thank you for keeping up with us and I am so happy for all of you. Congratulations on selling your home and finding a new one! YOOHOOO!! :)

Funny thing about Frua. Here, God is providing and it is very clear. I am excited that your church family is so supportive! It's nice to rely on God, isn't it? :)
